Boxgirls Kenya

Boxgirls Kenya, a community-based organization established in 2007 addresses key gender inequality divides and promotes the empowerment of women and girls through the power of boxing. The Box Enterprise programme provides a platform to develop and activate girls leadership, entrepreneurship and employability skills through boxing. Girls and young women participate in weekly boxing and health education programs in addition to entrepreneurship and employability skills learning in schools. Boxing is used as the key enabler to develop and acquire self-defense, resilience and financial literacy.
