Sporting legends Edwin Moses, Daley Thompson and Hugo Porta were in London last night to enjoy the expertise of the best Polo players on the planet and raise funds to support Laureus in Argentina at the annual Laureus King Power Polo Cup.

The event, which took place at Ham Polo Club in Richmond, saw the best Polo players in the world compete in the exhibition match. Representing teams sponsored by Alfi Investments and Pampa Energia, nine-goal players Guillermo ‘Sapo’ Caset, Nico Pieres and David ‘Pelon’ Stirling were joined by Argentinian world number one, Aldofo Cambiaso. After an exciting encounter, Alfi Investments managed to hold out last gasp pressure from Pampa Energia in the fourth chukka to win five goals to four.

After the match, guests enjoyed cuisine served up in the style of a traditional Argentinian Asado, as well as cocktails provided at an exclusive bar hosted by Patrón Tequila. During the event, a host of unique items and experiences were auctioned, including a limited edition IWC Da Vinci Chronograph watch, a fourball at the Alfred Dunhill Links Challenge on the Old Course at St Andrews, a track cycling lesson with an Olympic Gold medallist and the opportunity to attend London Fashion Week. Funds raised at the auction will benefit the Fundación Laureus Argentina.
