Project overview

When the refugee crisis in Europe hit Salzburg, the city responded with great support. With over 450 refugees arriving daily city officials had to think quickly as support programmes had to be created for refugees to integrate into their new communities and homes. Together instead of isolated:

kick mit, working in Salzburg and Vienna supports boys and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them build bridges into society and bond with  their new communities. Through a football curriculum emulating their sister organisation Kicking Girls, they use working groups in schools to instill in children important values and transferrable skills such as responsibility, tolerance and team spirit.
