The first National Foundation was established in Stuttgart, Germany, in 2001. With the dedicated support of Academy Members Boris Becker, Franz Beckenbauer, Franz Klammer and Katarina Witt, the German Foundation funds a large number of programmes throughout the country. Many successful fundraising events are organised each year in benefit of the Foundation's work.
