25 Years of Laureus

Brazil is always looking for the next Pelé or Ronaldo and the entire nation is hoping that Robinho will prove to be the latest football genius to come out of South America. He inspired Pelé’s old team Santos to win the 2002/03 Brazilian Championship and his electrifying dribbling skills have been compared to the great Garrincha.
Robinho made his full international debut for Brazil at the 2003 Gold Cup, where Brazil fielded an Under 23 team to prepare for the Olympic Games. Even at this early age, Santos have put a US$35 million price on him to stop him being bought by a big European team.
