‘Sport has the power to change the world’ – Nelson Mandela, 2000 Laureus World Sports Awards

Winner
Roma legend Francesco Totti was named as the recipient of the prestigious Exceptional Achievement Award by the Laureus Academy.
Totti, who retired in May after a 25-year playing career with his boyhood club, is just the second person ever to receive the prize. He follows in the footsteps of the most-decorated Olympian of all-time, swimmer Michael Phelps.

Thank you to everyone for this fantastic evening, the first one I have been able to attend. I hope to help with this cause in future, and attend this event again in future. Thanks again to everyone.
