HIGHLIGHTS
2018 saw a welcome return to Monaco and an equally welcome return for Benedict Cumberbatch, who hosted the event and won thousands more fans by taking on Roger Federer in a makeshift game of table tennis.
Federer made it a double at Laureus 2018, by winning Sportsman of the Year and Comeback of the Year after an outstanding season, while Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 picked up the Team of the Year trophy.
