Became the first woman to secure a world title when she won the fledgling World Supersport 300 Championship, riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400. The 21-year-old won the title by a single point. She started riding motor cycles when she was three and made her debut at 16 in Moto3, where she became the first to score points in a world championship race since 2001.
