One of the greatest motor cycle racers of all time, Yamaha rider Rossi won his sixth senior Moto GP World Championship in 2008 and during the year overtook Giacomo Agostini’s long standing career record of 68 500cc wins. Rossi finished the season with a new record of 71.
Although there has been much speculation about Rossi switching to Formula One, especially when he tested a Ferrari in 2006, Rossi has signed a contract with Yamaha until 2010.
