Kim Clijsters won the final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open in Flushing Meadows. It was her second straight win at Flushing Meadows and her victory over seventh seed Vera Zvonareva 6-2, 6-1 in the final gave her a second Grand Slam win as a mother.
In 2010, she also won the Brisbane International, the Sony Ericsson Open, the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati and the season ending WTA tournament in Doha, beating world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the final.
