John John Florence produced what is regarded as the highest air ever done in competition, receiving a perfect ten for the Alley Oop he performed in the Oakley Pro event in Bali in June. The 21-year-old from Hawaii, who recovered from a broken back in 2011, is known for his spectacular aerial ability. Watching multi world champion Kelly Slater estimated that Florence achieved a height of seven feet. Others said he reached eight feet. Whichever, all five judges gave him a perfect ten.
