After several years of underperformance as a result of injury and personal domestic problems, Tiger Woods came back to golf in style in 2013, regaining his world No 1 ranking and winning five events on the US PGA Tour. His second round 61 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August matched his record score on the PGA Tour. He was named PGA Player of the Year for the 11th time. He currently has more career Major Championship wins (14) and PGA Tour wins (79) than any other active golfer.
