Michael Phelps retired from swimming after the 2012 London Olympics, as the most decorated Olympian ever with 22 medals, including 18 gold. He came back to swimming in 2015 and competed in the US National Championships, where he won gold medals in the 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley, in each event swimming the fastest time of the year.
