An outstanding member of FC Barcelona Femení and the Spain Women’s Team, she is one of the best women’s footballers in the world. She won her second straight Ballon d'Or Feminin in October, which reflected another excellent season for both her and her Barcelona team-mates.
In 2023/24 Bonmatí opened the scoring in their UEFA Women’s Champions League final victory over Lyon, and she was also named MVP of the tournament with six goals and six assists. Last year’s Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year Award winner also played a key role in delivering a fifth consecutive league title as well as the Copa de la Reina.
