White won the skateboard vert competition at the Right Guard Open in 2006, though snowboarding remains his better sport. Last year, he competed in, and won, 12 events, including the Olympics in Turin. No snowboarder had ever enjoyed a season like it.
He took the slopestyle and rail prize at the Session in Vail, and swept all five events of the Grand Prix series and the slopestyle and halfpipe at the US Open.
At the 2007 Winter X Games late in January, White took second in Snowboarding Superpipe and second in Slopestyle. At last winter’s X Games he was also named the Jeep Outstanding Athlete and took home a brand new Jeep Commando. Even before completing his perfect snowboarding season, White had become the icon of Action Sports.
