Shaun White, the greatest snowboarder in history, routed the field in X Games Aspen to win his sixth consecutive superpipe gold medal. He earned the top two scores, including 98.00 on his second run which began with a record 24 ft 1 ins (7.34 metres) backside air above the walls of the Buttermilk pipe. His victory took his career total to 15 X Games gold medals in snowboarding and skateboarding. He has also won two Olympic gold medals and has won ten ESPY Awards.
