With a powerful and brilliantly designed Red Bull car, he won his third straight Formula One World Championship with victories in 19 of the 22 Grand Prix. In a year which contained many records, he dominated race tracks around the world, clinching the title early in the Qatar Grand Prix in October. His win at Monza in September was his tenth consecutive Grand Prix victory of the season, surpassing Sebastian Vettel’s 2013 record. He also improved on his own 2022 record of 15 wins.
