Statistically 2015 was Novak Djokovic’s best ever season and one of the best seasons by an individual in the Open Era. The world No.1 won three Grand Slams – Australian, Wimbledon and US Open – and was finalist in the French Open, becoming only the third man after Rod Laver and Roger Federer, to reach all four finals in the same year.
He also became the first man to win six Masters 1000 events in one year, plus a record fourth straight ATP Tour Final. During the year he reached 15 consecutive finals, won 11 titles, had 82 wins and just six defeats. His on-court earnings reached US$21 million and he described the year as ‘the best of my life’.
